Gloria completed her undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology at Pomona College, where she was a Beckmann Scholar studying aging in yeast. She went on to earn her MD and PhD degrees in Stanford University’s MSTP. In the laboratory of Dr. PJ Utz, Gloria's interest in autoimmunity led her to investigate the role of interferon signaling in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. After completing her Internal Medicine training at Yale, she returned to California as a STAR Rheumatology Fellow and joined the Crooks Lab. Gloria is a 2022 A.P. Giannini Postdoctoral Fellow. Her research focuses on T cell development in autoimmune and immunodeficiency diseases and the development of cellular therapies for rheumatic disorders.
